Our Story
Our Partner and co-founder, Danny Daniel, understands the life-changing impact of a car wreck.
When I was two years old, my father drove to work and never came home. A drunk driver had hit him head-on.
I was left without a dad, and I witnessed my mother struggle after losing her soul mate.
A settlement from a personal injury lawsuit provided much-needed financial support for my family and a small college fund that allowed me to pursue law school.
This is why I pursued a career in personal injury: to help people going through similar tragedies and make a positive difference in their lives.
When I started my own law firm, I envisioned a stark difference in how my team supports clients during their most vulnerable moments. While some attorneys see clients as just case numbers, I wanted to truly value each client’s unique story and account for all their losses after a car wreck.
And there was only one person I wanted to start a firm with
my friend from law school, Jonathan Stark.
Jonathan and I became fast friends. Outside of class, we discussed our passion for helping others while fishing and hunting together. Jonathan was a protector, always ready to help those in need, even if it meant getting his &$% whooped.
Jonathan and I knew early on that our combined backgrounds could create a unique partnership. We learned about different areas of personal injury law at the firms we worked for and wanted a workplace with a remarkable culture. We made the perfect team.
In December of 2000, I proposed the idea to Jonathan. “Let’s start our firm,” I said.
However, Jonathan’s job was going too well to leave, and he’d have to uproot his family and move. So, he turned me down.
Although I had my heart set on having Jonathan as my law partner, I forged ahead. To afford my first Yellow Pages ad, I sold my beloved ’69 Camaro for $13,000. I still think about that car.
The very next day, Jonathan called me back.
“Danny, are you really gonna quit your job and run your own firm?”
“Yep, I’m doing it.”
“Yep, I'm doing it,”
“Well, I'm coming," Jonathan said. "Let’s roll!”
Daniel Stark Law was born.
