Drivers must be alert for many interferences when driving. Animals, debris, other vehicles, and pedestrians can all be in harm’s way or put the driver in harm’s way if he or she is not paying attention.

Though the circumstances are unclear, a pedestrian has died as the result of an Austin auto accident, according to KVUE.

The Austin auto accident is not suspected to be related to drug or alcohol use. The crash occurred when a vehicle struck a woman in her 50s who was trying to cross the road around 11 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle who hit the woman continued on East Riverside Drive but then stopped to call 911 following the Austin auto accident.

The Austin auto accident is still under investigation, though no charges have been filed against the driver.
