Two 17-year-old girls were struck by an SUV Tuesday morning as they crossed the road on their way to school. My San Antonio reports the accident happened on the 2500 block of Navajo Street in San Antonio, Texas.

The driver of the SUV told officers that the morning sun caused a blinding glare as she drove past South San Antonio High School. The girls were not at a marked crosswalk when they attempted to cross the busy street and were hit by the blinded driver.

While the girls’ injuries are not life threatening, as of this afternoon, one was listed in critical condition and the other in serious condition. The driver of the SUV was not injured and will face no charges n the incident.

The Texas Auto Accident Attorneys at Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers want to know what you think. Should the woman who hit the girls be responsible for their medical bills, even though she was not charged with a crime? Tell us your opinion on our Facebook page.
