A woman remains in critical condition following a Waco car accident that may have involved a drag-race according to the Waco Tribune.

The Waco auto accident occurred Friday when the 20-year-old victim drove east on Franklin Avenue around 10 p.m.  Her vehicle, a 2001 Mazda Protégé, was struck by a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup truck.

The driver of the Protégé and her two passengers were taken to a hospital to be treated for Waco car accident injuries suffered during the crash from which the driver of the truck fled.

The driver of the truck was later arrested and charged with failing to provide aid at the scene of an accident.

Police have said the driver of the truck may have been drag-racing when the Texas auto accident occurred, but he has not been charged in relation to that allegation.
