Construction accidents are one of the leading types of on-the-job fatalities in the United States today. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the industry was responsible for claiming 775 lives last year alone. The Austin Construction Accident Lawyers with Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers point out a large portion of those deaths were caused by slips, trips, and falls.
More recently though, one such accident claimed the life of a young worker at a jobsite in Lake Travis, Texas. According to an article from KEYETV News, the incident occurred at approximately 11:15 a.m. this past Friday morning, September 27, on Luna Montana Way.
Reports indicate the worker was part of a crew hired to complete the framing of a high-end residential structure when he slipped and fell while performing his job duties. Witnesses say the victim sustained massive head injuries as a result of his fall and he died at the scene before help could arrive.
Officials with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are investigating the cause of the accident and if it could have been prevented.
Daniel Stark’s team of Austin Personal Injury Lawyers are aware of the devastating effects the loss of a loved one to a work-related accident can have on the lives of those who knew the victim. That’s why the firm would like to send their deepest condolences to the family of the man who was killed in this most recent tragic accident.
