There are numerous dangers those who work in the construction industry face each day on the job, but one of the greatest risks are the hazards of slip and fall accidents. In fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that such incidents were responsible for around 15 percent of all workplace fatalities that occurred last year.
The Texas Construction Accident Lawyers with Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers explain that more recently, a 47-year-old worker died after suffering a slip and fall accident at a construction site in Mission, Texas. Reports indicate the incident happened on Monday, December 23, at the site where a new high school is being constructed in the town.
An article from FOX 7 News stated the victim was part of a crew hired to complete construction of the school building. As he was performing his job duties on a set of scaffolding though, he slipped and plummeted roughly 20 feet to the ground below.
The impact of the accident left the victim with serious injuries that claimed his life a short time later.
Daniel Stark and our team of Texas Personal Injury Lawyers are aware of how difficult it can be to overcome the loss of a loved one due to an unforeseen work-related accident. That is why the firm would like to send their deepest sympathies to the family of the man who was killed in this most recent Texas construction accident.
