A video record of past events and accidents is often something wished for in hindsight. Recordings often help solve crimes and reveal details that led to events, and a dash camera in a police officer’s cruiser is reserved for this purpose.
One officer’s dash camera recorded an unfortunate Austin motorcycle accident last month, according to News 8.

Unfortunately, a motorcyclist was critically injured when an Austin Police Department officer ran a stop sign, causing the Austin auto accident between the motorcycle driven by a 74-year-old man and the officer in his cruiser.

The motorcyclist suffered injuries and is still in critical condition following the Austin motorcycle accident.

The Austin Police Department is still investigating the Austin motorcycle accident and has not yet determined if disciplinary action will be taken against the Austin Police Department officer. They are trying to settle the case out of court.
