Manufacturers of automobiles in the United States have a responsibility to ensure the vehicles, parts, and equipment they release to the public are safe for use. The Texas Car Product Liability Attorneys with Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers explain that failure to do so that results in an accident or injury could lead to the manufacturer being held liable.
One of the first steps in this process is showing that a defective car part was directly responsible for causing the accident and the victim’s injuries. One of the most common red flags to such a defective part is when the manufacturer of the vehicle conducts a voluntary recall.
The Toyota Motor Corp recently announced such a recall on their Tacoma pickups and other vehicles due to faulty engine valve springs that can cause the engine to stop while the vehicle is in motion. According to an article from NBC News, the recall affects more than 33,000 vehicles worldwide.
The recall comes just months after the company took similar action in reports to problems with the rear suspension in roughly 800,000 vehicles.
Daniel Stark and his team of Texas Personal Injury Lawyers state that anyone who has suffered an injury due to a motor vehicle accident that was caused by a faulty part that was later recalled should consider discussing their legal options with a reputable attorney immediately.
