Three people who were Austin fire victims are thankful they escaped the Thanksgiving fire that sent one home up in flames.
According to KXAN, an Austin fire caused one elderly woman to suffer severe Austin burn injuries to her face and throat after a Thanksgiving Day fire. Two other Austin fire victims refused treatment at the scene of the blaze.
Investigators say the fire was caused by combustible materials near a wood-burning stove. After the fire, firefighters warned the public of the importance of smoke detectors in homes.
