A rising number of motorcycle accidents are occurring across the United States, but especially in Texas. Data from the AAA Foundation shows the state led the nation in the number of fatal motorcycle accidents occurring during 2011, including 374 deaths during a nine-month period that year alone. The Texas Motorcycle Accident Lawyers with Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers explain that large portions of those accidents were caused by motorists failing to yield the right-of-way to bikers.
One such accident that occurred earlier this month in College Station, Texas, was responsible for claiming the life of a 20-year-old rider. According to an article from KBTX News, the crash happened on the night of Monday, October 14, along the Southwest Parkway, near Texas Avenue.
Reports indicate the victim was riding his bike along the parkway when an oncoming vehicle attempted to turn left in front of the bike. The motorcyclist did not have time to stop and the two vehicles collided. The impact of the crash threw the motorcyclist from his machine, causing him to suffer massive injuries. He died a short time later. The driver of the car and a passenger in the vehicle were also injured as a result of the crash.
Daniel Stark’s Texas Personal Injury Lawyers are aware of how difficult the loss of a loved one to the negligence of another motorist can be. That’s why the firm would like to send their sympathies to the family of the victim.
