The Texas Motorcycle Accident Lawyers with Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers state studies show that a large portion of collisions involving motorcycles are caused by other drivers who fail to recognize or yield to an oncoming bike. The most common reason given for this failure is that the motorist simply did not see the motorcycle coming.
One such accident recently claimed the life of a 23-year-old Harker Heights, Texas, man. According to an article released by KCENTV News, the crash happened this past Friday night at the intersection of FM 93 and South 31st Street, outside the city of Temple, Texas.
Reports indicate the motorcyclist was operating a machine built by Honda west along FM 93. As the motorcycle began to approach the intersection with South 31st though, the driver of a GMC SUV that was heading east along 93 attempted to make a left turn onto South 31st and pulled out in front of the bike. The motorcyclist attempted to avoid a collision, but struck the rear quarter of the SUV though. He was rushed to a local hospital, but died shortly after arrival.
