One of the missions of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is to provide care for service members who have been left disabled due to an injury or illness that’s related to their service to our country. Our Texas veterans disability lawyers at Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers explain that one of the services offered to our nation’s disabled veterans is vocational rehabilitation, and dozens of local veterans were able to benefit from this program recently.

According to an article from KBTX News, 19 veterans recently participated in the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV) that took place on the campus of Texas A&M University. The program focuses on providing disabled veterans with the knowledge and information they will need to launch and sustain a successful business. The EBV also partners participants with mentors who can help keep veterans on the road to success.

Officials are calling the EBV a victory for participants as well, considering the program has a two-thirds success rate among graduates.

At Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers, we understand the struggles that disabled veterans can face when seeking employment upon returning home from overseas. That’s why our College Station personal injury lawyers applaud the efforts being made to provide the EBV in our area. We’re also hopeful to see the program expanded in the near future so that more veterans can participate.
