Getting members of the armed forces who are sick or injured in the line of duty the help they deserve is one of the missions of our Texas veterans disability attorneys at Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers. That’s why we’re excited to learn that a new smartphone app is aiming to put information and resources into the hands of veterans who need it.
Officials with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission say the Texas Veterans app can be downloaded to smartphones or tablets and provides veterans with access to a plethora of services and resources that are available. Most notably, veterans can find the numbers to the Hotline for Women Veterans, the Veterans Crisis Line, and the Texas Veterans Portal. According to an article from the El Paso Times, the app also provides a list of local, state, and federal benefits and resources that are available to our nation’s veterans.
The announcement was made in August during the Women Veteran’s Symposium, which focused on raising awareness about community resources that are available to veterans and their families.
At Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers, we recognize the struggles many veterans face in getting the help that they need for the injuries and conditions they suffer. That’s why our College Station personal injury lawyers are hopeful this new app can help get these individuals the assistance they need and deserve.
