Daniel Stark Lawyers together with KBTX are teaming up to highlight remarkable people in our community. Twice a month, a remarkable person or organization will be recognized for their work to make a difference in our community. Daniel Stark and Rusty Surette of KBTX will go into the community and reward a nominated remarkable person or organization with $500 presented by Daniel Stark. The individual or organization will be spotlighted Monday nights on KBTX-TV Channel 3 news at 6:00pm.

Remarkable People in the Community

Ethan Perry

Ethan Perry is a remarkable young man. He’s spent his summers at Camp Blessing Texas since he was 15 years old. For the last four years he has made an impact on campers, volunteers and our community by his remarkable acts of service. Other young men who know Ethan have followed in his footsteps and are also volunteering at Camp Blessing. His love for people is contagious and infectious.

Shannon Long

Long is the co-founder of Chrissy’s Closet, a place where students and staff can receive free clothes and supplies. Her kindness has also led to the creation of Facebook groups that promote neighbors helping neighbors.

Long is the Instructional Technology Coordinator for the school district and is known for her kind heart, humble character and time spent helping people who have cancer.

Dan Kiniry

It was an honor to meet Dan Kiniry and hear about the remarkable work he’s done in our community over the last twelve years. Watch us surprise him with $500!!

Sami Rahman

Sami Rahman is a REMARKABLE woman who is cherished by her colleagues, students, and friends for all she does to give back to our community. Watch us and our pals at KBTX Media celebrate Sami’s years of service and surprise her with $500.

Tanya and TJ Gillespie

We were so moved hearing the story behind Taylor’s Place and learning how Tanya and TJ Gillespie honor their son’s legacy. Taylor’s Place and people like the Gillespies are the reason we started the Be Remarkable Awards. It was an honor to hand them a check for $500 and recognize individuals and organizations doing remarkable acts in our community.

Joshua Vela

Joshua Vela has been making an impact with kids in Somerville for nearly 10 years through sports. We had the opportunity to meet Joshua and his family to present him with a check for $500 and recognize him as the next Be Remarkable Winner.

Bikers Against Child Abuse, Inc

This remarkable group of people care so deeply about protecting children. We are lucky to have Baca Bikers Against Child Abuse right here in the Brazos Valley!!

Amy Bowles

Amy has change the lives of so many as Director at the CrossCentral Women’s Recovery Center. She was nominated by a family who had their lives transformed through Amy’s dedication to breaking the cycle of addiction.

Manya Lazaroff

Meet Manya Lazaroff, a local woman who does it all and our next #BeRemarkable winner. With help from some of her friends, we were able to surprise Manya with a check for $500!
