Daniel Stark Lawyers together with KBTX are teaming up to highlight remarkable people in our community. Twice a month, a remarkable person or organization will be recognized for their work to make a difference in our community. Daniel Stark and Rusty Surette of KBTX will go into the community and reward a nominated remarkable person or organization with $500 presented by Daniel Stark. The individual or organization will be spotlighted Monday nights on KBTX-TV Channel 3 news at 6:00pm.

Ethan Perry is a remarkable young man. He’s spent his summers at Camp Blessing Texas since he was 15 years old. For the last four years he has made an impact on campers, volunteers and our community by his remarkable acts of service. Other young men who know Ethan have followed in his footsteps and are also volunteering at Camp Blessing. His love for people is contagious and infectious.
Long is the co-founder of Chrissy’s Closet, a place where students and staff can receive free clothes and supplies. Her kindness has also led to the creation of Facebook groups that promote neighbors helping neighbors.
Long is the Instructional Technology Coordinator for the school district and is known for her kind heart, humble character and time spent helping people who have cancer.

We were so moved hearing the story behind Taylor’s Place and learning how Tanya and TJ Gillespie honor their son’s legacy. Taylor’s Place and people like the Gillespies are the reason we started the Be Remarkable Awards. It was an honor to hand them a check for $500 and recognize individuals and organizations doing remarkable acts in our community.
