Darla Canon

Darla is a member of the litigation team at Daniel Stark.  She was born and raised in Baytown, Texas and played collegiate water polo at Occidental College, where her team brought home the 2001 National Championship.  After college, Darla’s competitive spirit and passion for giving a voice to others drove her to pursue a career in law. In 2005, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from South Texas College of Law in Houston.  While there, she served as the Assistant Editor in Chief of the South Texas Law Review and competed on the moot court team, earning first place at the National Health Law Moot Court Championship. Before joining Daniel Stark, Darla spent 16 years practicing law in Los Angeles, specializing in medical malpractice.  While there, she gained a deep understanding of litigation and complex medical issues, and handled countless large exposure cases, from the claims stage through trial and appeal. Darla and her husband Carl live in Austin with their daughter, Harper.  In her free time, Darla enjoys spending time with her family, finding new adventures, hiking, surfing, and swimming.
